I like the nods to Hanna-Barbera stylizations in the artwork. He grew up watching Scooby Doo and the Jetsons.

I'm not a frequent Buffy-Watcher so maybe this is total news to me but I am interested in how cultures, whether stereotyped or not, are portrayed on netowrk TV. And I had no idea that Willow's last name was Rosenberg. Which is interesting because the Buffy I have seen shows her to be the most studious, the most devoted to knowledge gained from books which is sort of a sunny side of the Jewish stereotype. To expand on this, it has always struck me in watching "Buffy" that Willow was the one that upheld the formalities of magickal Law, often to the advantage of the other characters. And when she fucked around with the Law, she was the first to receive the consequences. Willow understands the Torah, and the esoteric implications of that in magic probably more thoroughly and intuitively than the other characters.
