Syndication pimping
Mar. 10th, 2003 08:44 amSo, I'm currently using 8.639 out of my 10 syndication points. Which is a lot. So I figure I'd pimp the feeds that have fewer than 40 subscribers, in an effort to A) point out cool stuff, and B) lower the cost of the feeds. :-)
perversiontrack: Not nearly as naughty as it sounds. It's a feed from http://www.perversiontracker.com, which parodies http://versiontracker.com. Basically, it consists of snarky reviews of relatively useless Mac software.
a_fdotcom: http://www.action-figure.com/'s feed. This has headlines about all the latest action figure (including Kubrick and other imports) news. I'm surprised it's so infrequently read, considering how nifty some of the stuff they cover is.
forwardingosx -- A group feed (about six people run it, including Patrick Neilson Hayden), dealing with folks talking about nifty OSX features, and improvements over their previous OSs.
thegamereport -- Syndicates Thegamerport.com, a site devoted to board and tabletop gaming. Some very nice writing about traditional games in this blog.
insidemacgames -- For Mac game news, of course.
nielsenhayden -- It's Patrick Nielsen Hayden's blog, or at least the first line and links. I'd rather it provide a full article (as with
wilwheaton2), but it's still nice as a reminder that there are new articles to read on the site.
toles_feed -- The wonderful political cartoons of Tom Toles. Why don't more folks subscribe to this one?
comicreviews -- Johanna Draper Carson's (comics columnist who can also be found on the Sequential Tart boards) updates.
wesun_puzzle The NPR Weekend Edition Sunday Puzzle. Only updates once a week. Won't hurt your friends page at all.
fanaticalapathy -- Speaking of NPR Feeds, this is Adam Felber's feed.
roger_ebert Tends to update only on Fridays, since it's capsule reviews from Roger Ebert. Actually, you only get the name of the movie, the link, and how many stars it got, but that's enough to remind me to check out his reviews.

Date: 2003-03-10 07:37 am (UTC)And I'm grumpy with Patrick's RSS thing, cause he's got a feed for the whole post, so I wish someone would use that one instead of the headlines one he's got now. stupid person.
