Highlander II was so SO SO bad. Oh god. When I saw it, the projectionist skipped a reel by mistake. We did not complain. Hell, we almost went to congratulate the guy.

Actually, I'm not a fan of the books. I haven't seen the movies, but I have the first, and intend to watch it this summer. I adore all of Peter Jackson's other work.

Oh my god...

Hmm...IMDb must have changed the minimum-number-of-votes threshhold for inclusion in the bottom 100; the last time I checked it, it was padded with stuff that had appeared on MST3K.

Knowing your general feelings on Tolkien, I won't pester you about the two LOTR films that are out so far (particularly because you said you do plan to watch them eventually). However, I *do* intend to pester you until you see Twelve Angry Men and American History X, both of which are OUTstanding movies.

Rent 'em. Watch 'em. You'll be glad you did.

I have seen all but 8 of the top list and.err..10 of the bottom list. I do think there should a minimun age thing placed on both categories. Anyone else notice that overall the worst list is much younger than the best list?

I will admit that #99 on the worst list - Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band - is a favorite of mine. It's a horrible horrible movie, but it's perfectly cheesy! And hey, when it first came out, I was like 13 years old and though Peter Frampton was the hottest thing ever, okay??

I seen most of the bad films... I'd say 80%. I'm suprised the HOUSE films or House Party or Buckaroo Bonzai didn't make the list over some of the ones that did. I wouldn't put a lot of stock on the best/worst thing. I'd just take it as 200 essentials to see in terms of a good working knowledge of film. Yet, lots of essentials are really, really missing.
