I hate that too. And I also hate not being able to edit comments. They should make it so that you have a window of time to edit them, that way there isn't a big deal when people edit their comments months later or edit a poll to humiliate someone for their answers.

Or just append an "edited' tag to them automatically.

Hit the "back" button til you get to the "update journal" screen, correct it, then post. I've done that.
