Penultimate quiz. Sparked by one of the correct answers from the last quiz, I've been thinking about all the musicians who seem to end up in horror movies.

1. We'll start with a gimme. In what film did Cher play one of a triumvirate of witches? Witches of Eastwick, as answered by [livejournal.com profile] shadesong

2. As mentioned before, James Marsters plays a cameraman in the remake of The House on Haunted Hill. What singer plays the reporter he's working for? Lisa Loeb It took a combination of [livejournal.com profile] shawnj and [livejournal.com profile] magiien to get this one.

3. In what movie does Alice Cooper impale a man on a bicycle seat? Prince of Darkness, a damned underrated movie that [livejournal.com profile] sir_alf correctly identified.

4. In what slasher flick does Leif Garrett bare his ass before getting killed? Bloody Pom-poms was the overseas name, as [livejournal.com profile] aussie_nyc noted, and [livejournal.com profile] dreamingcrow correctly got the American name, Cheerleader Camp.

5. Twisted Sister's Dee Snyder wrote and starred in what 1998 flick? Strangeland with [profile] hookncrook getting it first.

6. There's a cliche that says that black men never live through horror movies. Yet LL Cool J played characters who survived in back-to-back horror flicks. Name the two films. [livejournal.com profile] shawnj correctly noted Deep Blue Sea and Halloween: H20

7. The sequel to one of those two movies featured another rapper, but he wasn't so lucky. Name the rapper and the sequel. Busta Rhymes in Halloween: Resurrection, also noted by [livejournal.com profile] shawnj

8. Huey Lewis and Queen Latifah had the misfortune of being in the second worst Michael Crichton adaptation of all time. What was it? Sphere, first answered correctly by [livejournal.com profile] yourdrkangel

9. Anaconda features two musical leads. Who are they? Ice Cube and Jennifer Lopez, as noted again by [livejournal.com profile] shawnj

10. In my personal favorite, Leprechaun in the Hood, Coolio plays himself, but there's another rap star in that movie. Name him. Ice T. Credit again goes to [livejournal.com profile] shawnj

11. Speaking of Coolio, in what horror spoof does he play Principle Interest? Shriek if you Know What I Did Last Friday The 13th, also gotten by [livejournal.com profile] shawnj

12. Sorry, but you can't get any points for knowing that Meat Loaf was in the Rocky Horror Picture Show (in fact, you lose points if you don't know that). But if you could name another horror movie of his, that'd be impressive. Impressively, [livejournal.com profile] dreamingcrow knew that it was Wishcraft.

13. Jon Bon Jovi's acting is like really bad medicine in what horror flick? Vampires: Los Muertos -- answered by [livejournal.com profile] sir_alf

14. Richard Elfman, Danny's brother (and the man who helped organize Oingo Boingo, although he's not a member) directed two horror movies in the 1990s. Name one of them.

15. David Bowie is a good singer. His acting is a little more hit-or-miss. He famously vamped it up with Susan Sarandon in what overrated Tony Scott horror movie? The Hunger, first answered by [livejournal.com profile] shawnj

16. Roger Daltrey also had his shot at a vampire flick, in what 1996 comic book adaptation? Vampirella, answered correctly by [livejournal.com profile] auryn29a

17. Finally, you probably know that Mark "Markey-Mark" Wahlberg got an early break stalking Reese Witherspoon in Fear. But his brother (and New Kid on the Block singer) Donnie has appeared in two high-profile horror flicks in the last five years. Name 'em. The Sixth Sense and Dreamcatcher, answer tag-teamed by [livejournal.com profile] shawnj and [livejournal.com profile] kellinator.

Witches of Eastwick!

The other ones I know, but only because you told me. So it doesn't quite count.

it's that singer who sang "you say I only hear what I want to", but I can't think of her name or the real name of that song to look it up. :(

Lisa Loeb. I knew I'd find it eventually. And the song is "Stay". Not that you asked that.

4. Cheerleader Camp. Please don't ask me which one, my therapist is trying to help me block it out.

12. Wishcraft, which I've never seen and I guess I should be glad that I haven't.

Heh. I need to start watching horror again.
