Joss has announced that Mercedes McNab would be a recurring cast member this season. I always enjoyed her character (especially during season 5 of Buffy), although I also think she can be overused (which is why recurring is much better than regular). It'll be especially interesting to see her relationship with Spike this year.

Huh. For some reason, I thought she got staked when she appeared on Angel the first time. Guess Cordelia let her go, and I forgot. It should be interesting to see her and Spike meet again.

Did you see the Scifi wire things on the Firefly DVD? all the stuff, plus three unaired episodes and a gag reel, and also Joss might be making a movie.
