Elayna updates

shadesong has a good update on Elayna over here. To add/reiterate some things:

First, on top of everything else, while walking back from Karate the other night, Elayna revealed that she's taking Spanish twice a week! I'm psyched, as I really want her learning a language, and the sooner, the better.

Second, as mentioned in shadesong's post, if you shop at Kroger or Publix or collect Box Tops for education (available on Betty Crocker and other products), you can help Elayna's school! Email me (don't comment in LJ!) at Yendi (at) livejournal.com if you want to help out (I'll send you one of the cards to use at Publix/Kroger, or our address for Box Tops).

Third, um, I just had free Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream (since it's free, there are no calories). Which has nothing to do with Elayna, but I just had to say it.

Fourth, her new hairstyle of choice is to take her ponytail holder and slide it all the way down to the end of the ponytail. I've explained to her that, although my statement that she's beautiful no matter what she does with her hair is still true, I still wouldn't be responsible for putting her on the bus looking like that.

We are, although that wasn't how I got the ice cream (the free ice cream from Working Assets is only for the first year). This was for a going-away party for someone at work.

Consider scanning the barcode for the cards you want us to use -- we can then print them on labels and stick them on anything, like a credit card used to pay groceries, etc....

My chica, who's nine, is a big lizzie mcguire fan, hence, we endure many lizzie and miranda inspired hairdo's. My favorite so far involved tweleve braids and 972,000 hairclips in various neon shades.
