Just a reminder, as there are lots of new folks here: I've got a post over here that I ask all folks who join my LJ to fill out, asking about the origins of your LJ username. Aside from being something I'm insatiably curious about, it's also one of best ways I can find out who adds me.

My user name, so easy and obvious. I started my journal for someone else who calls me his toy. The journal has since taken on a life of it's own and morphed into something I didn't expect. Something more for me than for him. Still, I like the name, even if it scares some people off.

Rose Red is from the fairy tale, Snow White and Rose Red. Snow White is pure and sweet, while Rose Red is more wild and passionate. Most people I know get to see my snow white side, this is Rose's domain. :)

Heh. Do you read the comic Fables? It makes nice use of Rose Red.

I chose sibylla for two reasons. One is that it's the Latin for sibyl, female oracles of Classical Greece and Rome. I very often seem to know things, and I generally make joking references to my "psychotic powers". I make light of it, but there's more than meets the eye going on in my head.

The other thing is that "sibylla" reminds me of the book/movie, Sybil. That reference is pretty obvious. *grin*
