Dave Barry gave out a toll-free number for a telemarketing group in his latest column. And now the poor group is upset because people are calling them. :-)

That phone number no longer gets picked up by a live human being (or whatever creature is employed by the group). Go figure.

I saw that link a day or so ago but couldn't remember where I had read it so I didn't bother to post about it. I feel SO sorry for them. NOT!!

Reminds me of what happened to spam king Alan Ralsky when his home address was posted on the Internet. I hope he needs a dump truck to haul away the unsolicited catalogs he gets every day.

cheers,
Phil

It helps to have a national platform.

Steve H. of www.littletinylies.com asked for a similar thing on his blog.

Not exactly an avalanche.

Hee! I love Dave Barry. I want to have evil, witty children with him.

I have a hard time having any sympathy for these people since they called at me at 9:30 on a Sunday morning.

I love Dave Barry. He is my idol.

I just tried that toll-free number Barry listed in his column. It's been disconnected.
