I think the 'stick was part of her sass, though... which was real. I heard a story from my late SO... Bogey, Bacall, and Edward G. Robinson were in a bar one night when a fight broke out. Despite their tough-guy screen image, the two male actors were patsies in real life, and dove under the table. After about five minutes, Robinson asked, "Hey, where's Bacall?" (they never called her "Lauren.") Came the sidelong reply, "She's a tough gal. She can take care of herself."

When the dust settled, Bogey was right. Our heroine had personally decked two of the participants... most likely for the crime of underestimating a woman. :)

I HATE smoking with a passion.

I understand it must be excruciating to try to quit, but that doesn't mean I'm gonna be so sympathetic that I want to be within 20 metres of anyone smoking.
