Quick weekend review

Way behind on reading, let alone updating. It's been a busy weekend. Notable highlights:

Westfield order arriving, complete with JLA/Avengers and 1602 (and what's up with all the hatred for the former? I'm quite happy with it so far, on a lot of levels), plus a ton of other stuff.

Dead car battery. While we were at the train station, too.

New issue of Games (subscription a gift from melvh, for whom I still need to reciprocate), and it contains a nifty puzzle by the always-talented slipjig, as well as a nice article on IF.

New Bentley Little book, The Policy, moved to the front of my reading pile.

Visit to the Atlanta Zoo with shadesong, Elayna, penguinboi, sibylla, and ryokan, with much fun, in spite of usury-style pricing there.

Smaller cat attempting to eat pizza, and successfully knocking box off of table. He did splatter one paw with sauce, which he then licked clean.

Legs very tired now. Walking around the zoo all day does that. So does eating copious amounts of pizza.

The ATL zoo is nice but there are far too many kids there for my taste. Par for the course, I guess. You're also right about their pricing. Ack.

My annoyance with JLA/Avengers is only that they completely discarded the whole Access storyline. That bugs me, ignoring continuity. Access (the whole Marvel/DC crossover thing) is how I started reading DC books in the first place.

Otherwise I think it's quite good. I love the JLA's reaction to the Marvel Universe.
