So, this week is my vacation. I found out earlier this month that I was at my vacation hour limit --- if I didn't use some vacation time, I'd lose it. So how have I spent my vacation?

Monday -- taking care of Elayna, since it was a day off from school for her.

Tuesday -- waiting all day for a contractor, who showed up at 4.

Okay, so both of those were expected. But still, today is my first real day of vacation, where my schedule is entirely my own. So I did what I've been meaning to do for ages:

I napped.

Man, that felt good. Both cats curled up with me, too.

Now I'm off to Book Nook and the dry cleaners, still in a post-nap haze.

Napping should be mandatory.

I've been doing much the same -- [gleefully] I don't have anything I HAVE to get up for! [/gleefully]

I remember reading something about a non-religious retreat experience one could book at a monastery, and the brothers say a lot of their visitors find themselves sleeping a lot more than usual... because now they have the time and permission to do so. De-stressing, in fact.
