This hits me really hard. After he retired, he was a sportscaster for Channel 6, the ABC affiliate in Philly. He was so witty and personable. And you could tell he loved his job.

It's always the great ones that leave us early. :(

This was like another small piece of childhood fading away...I remember watching that game with such excitment and then him throwing that last pitch .....Such a sad baseball day!
