morenasangre rocks is kinda like saying the sky is blue (or, given the current Atlanta weather, gray). But it needs to be said today, as UPS just dropped off the Original Cast Recordings of the 1996 revival of A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum (which is my favorite Sondheim musical, followed closely by his output from 1981-90) and Wicked, the adaption of the Gregory McGuire novel. I'm not surprised to discover that the latter is one of morenasangre's favorites, since it's by Stephen Schwartz (although I'm surprised I didn't realize he was involved with this -- shows how out of the B'way loop I've been). I'm listening to the latter right now, and it's a delight.
