Lessons learned in the last day or so:
Mar. 3rd, 2004 10:43 am1. Large safety pins sell out fast when the Glenn Clothing Sale approaches (we're sellers there this year, and you need the large pins to hold items to hangers).
2. I'm almost certain to get strep in the next week or so.
3. Insular communities of assholes, no matter how cool their interests may seem at first, are still insular communities of assholes, and lash out at those who threaten the status quo of their community.
4. My 100% losing record in primary elections continues, unabated.
5. One should not skip dinner because one is busy. It only results in a heavy late-night meal.
6. All of the old Infocom games are easily downloadable at http://www.latz.org/games/list.shtml (just change the file extensions to ".z3" to get Zoom or another Z-code reader to run 'em).
7. The one helpdesk employee here who I believed was just mildly incompetent is actually the dumbest person I've ever worked with.
8. Opening one's mail can lead to nice surprises, including a certain ARC that one of you sent me. :-)
9. Shin splints suck (okay, I learned that lesson years ago, but I need a refresher course every once in a while, I guess).
10. I like rounding my lists up to ten items.

Date: 2004-03-03 07:51 am (UTC)As for the strep, I'd say try some echinacea and eucalyptus tea. It kept mine from coming back last summer. It may work, it might not. But I say its worth a shot.
