For those wondering, mega-zapping myself with ibuprofen seems to be nailing the infection quite nicely.

I wonder if the infection is going away or if the ibuprofen is just masking the symptoms. I didn't think that it had any anti-microbial properties.

Oh, the latter is what's happening. Minor infections usually run their course pretty quickly, and this is clearly minor (no fever, strep signs, etc). I got the tip to use Ibuprofen the last time I saw a doc (actually, I use Ibuprofen and Sudafed).
