Yet another reason why I am glad to be a non-Catholic. Of course, this could be yet another clue the Pope is going mad. Time to send him to the old folks home and elect a new Pope.
And the Catholic Church wonders why so many American Catholics are turning away from them? I think that hat the Holy Father wears has put too much pressure on his brain.
I think His Holiness errs in this case. I live in Cincinnati, a very Catholic city..and I can guarentee that many prayers are offered to many saints each Sunday during the season.
"Only watch college football, and... change your underwear six times a day. And wear it on the outside of your clothes so we can check. And everybody should make hats out of bread and wear them, and you should finish eating them by dinner time. And...."
You know, the Bible says to make the 7th day (whatever you want to consider "Day 7") as a day of rest. Personally, I think watching sports falls under that category. Unless, of course, one happens to be a fan of a team that does something inherently stupid like somehow managing to lose 3 consecutive NFC championships, 2 of them being at home. That's enough to disturb anyone's rest.
another reason why i am happy to not be catholic, if that made any sense at all, plus even if was i dont think id listen to him, i mean hes just a figurehead or smth. if i wanna watch stuff i will, hell i mean heaven, that doesnt work, id watch it even if god said no, whos he anyway?? he doesnt have to deal with idiot customers or go to uni -_-***
