Late afternoon randomness
Apr. 27th, 2004 03:41 pmI tend not to post when I'm busy or stressy, as posting "Hi, I'm busy and stressy" gets old real quick, and coming up with funny ways to talk about killing people loses its amusement value after the fifteenth bloody defenestration and twelfth imaginative use of a railroad spike.
Suffice to say, most of today's stress is courtesy of Dell, whose history of hiring moronic dope-smoking assholes extends well beyond that one set of "Dude, you a got a Dell" commercials. That said, my Dell Opipieceoshit is back online, meaning I can access the one proprietary app that requires owning a Windows box in the first place. Joy.
(although lots of stress comes from work itself, but nothing I can really vent about)
In other news,
dtaylor gets props as the first to note that the naked pictures of Charisma Carpeter (copyright Playboy, and therefore expect them yanked soon) are up over here.
Atlanta's College Movie Fest (which grew out of Emory's own iMovieFest) has put all of the films online. All of it is amateur filmmaking, but there's some really nifty stuff. I personally like GSU's "Hell House" the best of the lot.

ezme9, about an experience at what
zeppo describes as "the bookstore of the righteous."
Amazon will finally let you order V: The Complete Series. Impressively, there are already three reviews up there. If we're really lucky, maybe DC will give us a nice edition of the Carmine Infantino/Cary Bates V comic series. Seriously.
shadesong recaps our conversation on the way to work this morning, in which the subject of Dragaean Wedding Vows are brought up.
Chud reports that cute but utterly talentless bimbette Jessica Alba is likely to end up in the Robert Rodriguez adaptation of Sin City. I'm sure she'll bring her many "talents" to the set.
Back to the grind.
