New iTunes!

New iTunes! You can now publish playlists to the iTunes music store (similar to Amazon's features). They also have music videos (to watch, not for sale), and a Disney substore. Also a "Party Shuffle" feature that allows you to have more control over a random playlist. Oh, also movie trailers, and radio charts! This last one may be the coolest -- they have ten stations from Atlanta alone in there. Rock!

EDIT: They've also got weekly free songs. This week is "My Hero" by The Foo Fighters.

Found it pretty easily, but only because I figured you'd have Richard Thompson on it, so I went to The Old Kit Bag and saw the mix linked from there. :-)

They do need to make the playlists more searchable.

Ahh, okay. See, now, I tried that tactic (even went over to the same album, in fact) and saw no such link. I must have missed something.

Hmm. Having videos may get me to switch over to iTunes. I'm using Rhapsody now. I like launch.com's ability to play videos.

Is this iTunes for mac only? My version is 4.2, and I don't see those options....

Weird. iTunes doesn't recognize that it's been updated.... Yah, I see it, and I'll need to update the iPod as well. Looks like I'll be doing this at home... :)
