I've been old-school today. Started with "Midnight Star" (of course), moved on to "Nature Trail to Hell," and now I'm listening to the "Theme from Rocky XIII" (a parody, but one of his best).
"Nature Trail"....in 3-D! That's one of my favorites. Old-school, indeed. That album (yes, I had it on vinyl) was in heavy rotation back in the day. ;-)
I just love Weird Al. Two of my fav non parodies would have to be "You Make Me" and " Dare To Be Stupid". One of my fav parodies would have to be "Gump". He does have alot of talent, no question. More than I think he gets credit for.
Strictly speaking, we're meant to be buying musicals, not pondering just how difficult it would be to complete a Weird Al back catalogue. (Though the real problem is that we still have to go into a music shop and buy Bad and Even Worse in the same purchase. Call it an odd affliction.)
