yendiWow. The original estimate this morning was that Spidey 2's opening day was about $38 million, not the single-day record held by the original Spidey, but enough to beat the record for a Wednesday opener held by RotK.
When the final numbers came out, it had made $40.4 million, half a mil more than Spidey 1 had made on its opening Friday.
Holy shit.
