Spidey numbers
Jul. 1st, 2004 05:49 pmWow. The original estimate this morning was that Spidey 2's opening day was about $38 million, not the single-day record held by the original Spidey, but enough to beat the record for a Wednesday opener held by RotK.
When the final numbers came out, it had made $40.4 million, half a mil more than Spidey 1 had made on its opening Friday.
Holy shit.

Date: 2004-07-01 03:57 pm (UTC)Since the 3rd LOTR film the only one I've seen in the theatre this year was Michael Moore's. The high cost of movies makes me cautious in regards to what I want to see in the theatre.
Sounds like this one will be worth seeing first run instead of waiting for it to go to DVD.
