Celebrity Poker Showdown Season 2 finale
Jul. 2nd, 2004 03:46 pmLoved it, mostly.
Loved seeing Nicole (and almost seeing too much of Nicole). Wish she'd been on the show the entire time. Wish she were the host -- she's funnier than Dave.
Loved Michael Ian Black, and was rooting for him the entire night. He's the best combination of a good player and an entertaining one that they had on the show.
I loved seeing Rosario lose first. The least talented (by far) of the five winners, she had no place at this table. Yeah, she's amazingly cute. But she's a dreadful player.
Loved seeling Dulé lose second. He was also grossly undeserving, although it's clear that he's a little better than I gave him credit for. But Danny Masterson or James Woods should still have been at this table.
Maura played some solid poker, and got some luck. She was also helped by Lauren going in way too often. Lauren's a better player than she lets on, but not great.
Overall, a good show, but I swear I thought Phil was going to choke to death when he uttered the (obviously scripted) line about how all five folks were great poker players who deserved to be there.
Next week: Dave Navarro strips! Um, yeah. One can only hope that Jenny Garth tries to keep pace.
