[livejournal.com profile] sweinberg talks about AICN's lack of journalistic integrity, and the chilling potential it has for other movie sites.

[livejournal.com profile] charliegrrrl links to the new BBC Guide to the Prisoner, which is a decidedly TWOP-like take on the show. Damned funny stuff if you watched the series.

Scholastic is launching a graphic novel line, starting with reprinting Bone. Others mentioned for the line are Scott Morse (woohoo!) Christine Norrie (yay!) and Jim Mahfood (are you fucking kidding me?).

And finally, today is Free Comic Book Day! After seeing Spidey 2 again, go to your comic book store and grab some niftykeen free comics!

We won't be there, as we've got to finish our wedding registry today, but I doubt that excuse applies to that many of you. :-)

I have never understood why that idiot at AICN is listened to or read by ANYONE. Ignoring the fact that the site itself wasn't so much designed as it was dug out of a garbage can, it's pretty obvious that HK can't write anything resembling a coherent paragraph. Plus, I'm surprised the MPAA hasn't gone after it, considering the number of "reviews" based on pirated copies of films. And it is obviously biased towards certain directors, studios, genres, or whatnot, and anything outside of that range is either ignored or trashed.

Having said that, I find it kinda ironic that an article talking about professionalism in movie fan sites comes from a website called "hollywoodbitchslap.com"... ;)

Try not to judge a book by its cover...
