10-disc Matrix box set announced.

They've added 55 minutes of footage to the second movie. And you know what? That freeway fight still blows. But you get more time before you have to suffer through it.

Is it possible that if you watch it all in one sitting you'll understand what the hell's going on? Cause i refuse to buy 10 DVDs to hurt my head. A hammer'll be cheaper. And likely less painful.

Even ignoring the "this is the best action sequence ever" hype for it, it's long, it's unengaging, and there's simply not a single impressive stunt or cgi equivalent in it.

Well, I thought Trinity riding the motor cycle underneath the tractor trailer was the best part in the whole movie.

That should tell you how much I hated that movie.

Sadly (for the brothers) I'm afraid Peter Jackson is one of very few people capable of mollifying pissed-off fans by adding footage to a film. Ten bucks says all the added footage is comprised of more ambiguous, confusing dialog intended to explain the plot (or lack thereof) during which no one actually says anything.

There are times I go "man, yendi and I really could connect about this" and times I go "What the hell is wrong with you? Are you from this planet? How can two diametrically opposed people exist in the same universe?"

True. nichy and I both are like "eh" about LOTR, but fanatics about the Matrix series.

Last night at Blockbuster we passed over LOTR and almost got Eurotrip, if that says how much we don't care for the trilogy. ;) We got Intolerable Cruelty instead of either. We also got Along Came Polly, which was ok, if slow and could have had a bit more going on. We only got that because they didn't have Butterfly Effect, which was why we went in the first place.
