So, after [livejournal.com profile] shadesong and I got back from brunch at Crescent Moon (yay for a Northlake location!), I decided that it would be a good idea to head to the Village Market to pick up a few groceries.

That 3/4 mile walk gets a lot longer in 90 degree weather. I foolishly assumed that after I got past the first quarter mile (all uphill), things would be fine. Heh.

Walking back wasn't much better, as a backpack full of flour, milk, and butter (um, in appropriately sealed containers) makes for more exercise that I had planned. I've been chugging water nonstop since then.

In other news, tomorrow night I'll be seeing a sneak preview of I Robot (You Jane) with LJ-less Gerry. I do not have the highest expectations for it. Then again, the last time I got a free pass to an Alex Proyas movie which looked no-so-faithful to the original source material, it was a little flick called The Crow. So you never know.
