So, Blackboard has a nice break room outside the training lab with free coffee (about twenty types), and free soda (mmm, Diet Vanilla Coke). There's also a snack machine, and I'm staring at it, thinking of getting some cookies to go with my coffee, and reaching into my pocket for $.50. As I'm doing so, I notice that there's a swipe card reader on the machine. I look at my security pass. It's a swipe. I swipe it, and a message appears: Credit: $.50.

In other words, Free Milanos! Woohoo!

Now, time to pay attention to class.

my opinion about Blackboard as educational software as someone who uses it, and the nearly universal opinion of everyone with any sense at my university, is that it is the SUCK; we have constant network outages with it (although that might be us), and IMHO the interface is a terrible design. And the community feature is not nearly so great as LearnLink.

On the flip side, it does give you an excuse if you forget your homework . .. just say Blackboard ate it or you can't get in. . .
