Never assume you'll get work done at home

So, today I stayed home, because I had documentation to write, and getting it done at the office (where there are folks who have no fucking concept of work or "indoor voice") isn't possible.

So, naturally, today's the day that the lawn folks come by to mow the lawn (our landlord covers lawn maintenance, and it hadn't occurred to me to ask when they'd do the lawn, since I'm normally not home).

They were gone by one, by which point I'd discovered that something I'd eaten had disagreed with me, so trips to the bathroom every ten minutes or so have ensued. Immodium has been added to the shopping list.

On the plus side, I have actually finished the docwork. Go me.

I beg to differ : I've been staying home since Tuesday and I actually managed to get work done. Yay !
But I do agree that it's not easy to get work done at home. It demands some self-discipline, 'cos it's just so easy to lay on the couch and spend the whole day doing nothing. ^_^

Um.... you had a stomach issue, and had to be in the bathroom every 10 minutes...

And got documentation done....

While I have READ documentation like that.........

I got most of the docwork done in the morning, when noise was the main problem.

Although, now that I think about it, I suppose I could have just switched to the laptop.

Yup. And then when noise hits, it's even tougher to concentrate.
