Why did no one tell me that there was a book of essays about comics called Give Our Regards to the Atom-smashers? Aside from Brad Meltzer and Letham, it's got essays on Chaykin, Little Nemo, the DC/Marvel wars, etc.

And the Yankees and Red Sox are thinking of merging their sports networks. Because I'm sure that Boston fans are just dying for a channel that'll rerun the Bucky Dent homer for them over and over.

It's a joke (as is everything at the Onion outside of the AV Club). But someone was smart enough to read the article and buy up that Typepad address.

They would just be owned by the same company, right? 'Cos if the 2 teams are playing simultaneously and the network heads have to choose one over the other, I'm seeing a massive riot in the other city.

I think it'd probably be something similar to what Fox does, with a NE channel and a NY one. No way could the rights to both be on the same channel -- MLB has too much money invested in the process to allow that.

Well, I would've done a greedy "I want I want I want" post on Give Our Regards to the Atom-Smashers! which would've called your attention on it, but I apologize for not doing so, simply because there's a glut of comic book posts on my livejournal. :D
