If there's any good to come from the current mess the Mets are in, it's the potential for a new manager. Which I suppose couldn't have happened if he'd finished just under .500.

But this is a painful season.

I still don't know what to think about my Braves. They're a great squad, but I don't know if they have what it takes to go all the way.

Of course, when I did feel they had what it took to go all the way, they found a way to pull defeat out of the jaws of victory.

(I know, I'm spoiled, I'm a Braves, Panthers and Duke fan. But I say I get more than my share of adversity with Duke football.)
