Listening to "Mr. Roboto," it occurs to me that the line "my blood is boiling, my brain I.B.M." looks a lot better than it sounds.

I mean, I've heard of shit-for-brains, but shitting out one's brains?

Wanna have massive jealousy, just like me?

Recently, the local public TV station was doing their "Give us Money" Drive, and of course, as always, they give out free stuff if you donate X amount of money. My parents always donate anyway, but they usually wait for the stuff that they want to pop up. Makes sense.

This years "Donation Gifty"? Fantastic seats to see Dennis DeYoung doing the Music of Styx, with the Michigan Opera Orchestra, Alan Parsons Project opening.

*lust*
*drool*

It's similar to the PBS version that they're showing right now, but he's doing it on tour. I've heard the PBS version of Mr. Roboto, and it's not half bad :)

When the tix came up, my mother's instant response to my father was "Get out your wallet". She love's Styx and Dennis DeYoung. My dad's indifferent. I told mom that she should take me, but no dice.

I'd check the PBS sites, as you can probably get a disk or dvd there.

Uh, actually, I found nothing on PBS. But a disk or something has to exist somewhere!!!!

Funny, I heard "Mr. Roboto" on my iPod this morning, and it got me thinking. I remember it was a "concept album," but don't really recall the backstory. Do you know if there are any websites that actually catalog concept album stories? (Suppose I could google, but since you brought it up, you get asked...)
