As for the next Harry Potter book

Everyone is talking about the fact that yet another character will die (and hey, there might even be a body this time). I really hope it's Cho Chang, and that the death is really messy. Why, you ask (especially since I'm fond of the character)?



Because then we'll have Cho Bits.

Having just finished book 5 (for the first time) ... I'm inclined to agree, however in my case it's coz I find her character annoying.

No guesses on who'll die, but I wouldn't mourn much if it were Cho either. But I doubt it; she lost her boyfriend, I doubt Rowling's going to knock her off, too.

Dumbledore might be interesting... but just going by standard hero's journey type stuff -- Sirius was Harry's mentor, Dumbledore's just the dispenser of sage advice. ("... got a candy-lovin' Yoda named Dumbledore--" Gotta love Tom Smith.)

Don't really have any good guesses for who will get bumped off, though, if anybody. Can't see her knocking out any of the main kid characters. Hagrid would be too distressing, probably so would one of the Weasley twins. I could possibly see one of the professors biting it, though -- McGonagall certainly had a rough time of it, so might be a logical one. (I like McGonagall, too, darn it.)

But I gots no idea. I just wait and read 'em as they come.

My best guess was Arthur Weasley. That would certainly irritate the hell out of Percy, traumatize Ron, and give Ron a lot more sympathy for Harry.

well if anyone was to die then i would that someone from the Order who is of importance to Harry would die. it would make more sense than having some random hogwarts kid die, i mean they are fighting against voldewart. yeah i dont like him =P but if we some random kid to die, then i too want Cho to die, shes a bit of a pain in my .. neck plus it will enrage our brave, young hero onto greater heights and adventures. or maybe he'll get his ass handed to him and someone will come save him ... i type too much ^_^" and no chobits please xP
