Last night's tv? Eh. Gilmore was ok, but after last week (when Daniel Paladino wrote the best ep he'd ever worked on), it just didn't click as well. Not to mention the WB fucking up with the promos again, implying that the two-scene c plot was the primary focus. Mailer mumbled too much to be an interesting guest star, and the Sookie plotline (whose culmination was obvious after about four seconds) was utterly silly. And don't get me started on the odds of the Yale daily paper having the same editor two years running.
And Scrubs was just weak. Horribly telegraphed moments (did anyone at all not know what was going to happen with Molly Shannon?), some over-the-top stuff that just fell flat (the party, the scooter/desert plotline), and for once, Heather Graham wasn't that fun to watch (other than in her opening moment, breaking the news to Elliott). Other than The Todd's piñata moment, nothing really clicked like it usually does. *shrug* Still my favorite show -- even the great ones have weak moments.
I'm listening to Juliana Hatfield cover Dot Allison. That's audio equivalent of a high-schooler finding out that the two girls he's got crushes on want to have a threesome with him.
