Dear Al Pacino:
Dec. 2nd, 2004 11:45 amYou are, when you put your mind to it, a damned talented actor (it would be nice, of course, if you put your mind to it more often). You are not, however, Charles Laughton And there's no fucking need for a remake of one of the best courtroom dramas ever done.
Don't fuck with Billy Wilder films. They were done just fine the first time. The last time someone was stupid enough to try it, it killed Julia Ormond's career. And Sydney Pollack's. Walk away while you can still say "hoo-hah."

His whole damn career's out of order!

Tyrone Power is the best example of the fact that the old "studio system" was not a meritocracy. However Power became an A-lister, it wasn't through acting ability.
