1. Late to work by half an hour thanks to horrible unexplained traffic on Clifton.

2. Spent another half an hour unable to do anything thanks to a recurring network issue that's randomly killing MAC addresses on the network, and decided to hit my machines for a while.

3. Have an ongoing issue with Amazon fucking up something that may result in my not receiving a number of gifts that were bought for me, and sending me responses that indicate they don't understand what I spent twenty fucking minutes explaining to a phone rep on Friday. Pigfuckers. Oh, for anyone who ever wants to call Amazon and speak to an incompetent rep (including some who speak English as a second language), instead of sending emails into the great void, you can do so by calling 800-201-7575. I can't imagine why a company with such bad service would make it so hard to contact them. Really. It's almost as if they don't want to help people, and would rather frustrate them into giving up. But no company would ever do that, I'm sure.

4. Have a shitload on the plate today. And it's raining. And I'm still not king.

There's good stuff to write about. I'll put that into another post.

Amazon seems to have partaken of "the India Miracle" and shipped the support there...so you lose a few customers, but damn the execs get such fat bonuses for cutting the costs...

Been having more than a few problems with Amazon myself, and have been more than a little pissed.

And I feel your pain. There are few times that suck more for tech people at a college than the beginning and end of the semester.

Oh yes, did I mention the one from across the sea and who English was prob a third language who called me on behalf of a certain well known ISP and identified himself as "Steve McQueen"?

Since you should have a $WINTERHOLIDAY gift on its way to you from me via amazon.com, I hope you get that resolved.

Apparently [livejournal.com profile] yuki_onna is having the same problem, only she wants her book sold so it's worse.

Isn't this how the Toy Web site died?
