I'm putting laundry away, and I hear [livejournal.com profile] shadesong say something about tying limbs to horses.

Me: "Honey, are you telling our daughter about drawing and quartering again?"

[livejournal.com profile] shadesong: "Yes."

Me: "Why?"

[livejournal.com profile] shadesong: "I was explaining that it's what should be done to the people who package her Bratz dolls and attach all the pieces with little wires."

Me: "Nah. That's too quick for them."

Obviously they need to be lashed to a big piece of particleboard or something with little wires and left to rot.

Eleanor likes those dolls too. Nice multicultural thang, but yeah, painful packaging.

Yes, very painful. Why can't they just use twist-ties like normal people...

Isn't she a little young for Bratz? I was looking at them and they seem like at least 8 and older? I'm sorry, I forget how old she is exactly... but even if she's as old as 8... those Bratz... they dress like sluts.

Are you kidding? Ho dolls are an important part of every young girl's development.

Oh and just so you don't think... "why were you looking at Bratz?"

Work in a Toys R Us demonstrating Gameboy Advances all day, you end up seeing everything single toy there is and becoming ultimately horrified over it...

To add to Yendi's comment about us hating them... this is actually her first Bratz doll, since we've consistently NOT bought them. She got it from my parents. And she was genuinely puzzled to get it. "But you guys hate these!"

"Well, Grandma got it for you."

She got it over a week ago, and she just started opening it yesterday. I think she really figured she'd never get one - and perhaps part of her professed desire for one was preadolescent rebellion. She seems to not know what to do with herself now that she has one.

Those perfectly good wires come to mind for garrotting.

I hear ya. :| I suspect the first time Daughter heard Mommy swear involved liberating a Bratz doll and/or accessory from the sheet of cardboard it was strapped to...
