Proof that Rich Johnston has lost it: While many mock, the industry needs Rob Liefeld. He brings something to the artistic table that no one else can bring. Believe me, there are many untalented egotistical artists out there. Plenty of folks could bring that to the table. It's just not something that's needed.

Over at Newsarama, they say that Peter David is on Hulk through the end of the year, writing an Abomination miniseries, and has another Marvel project in the works (A Strong Guy/Rahne road trip book would be my dream project, although not damned likely). More of my hard-earned money to Marvel. They also report that Fallen Angel, which is the best book you're not reading, is once again in cancellation danger. So by the fucking thing already! You can check out the trade for the first storyline, and the next issue begins a new storyline (in other words, is a good place to get started). The latest issue wrapped up one of the best story-arcs he's ever told.

Most obscure Marvel listing at Amazon: Power Pack Digest. I've got no idea is this is a collection of the '80s series, or the return of the team. But I want to know.

It has been a while since I've really spent some serious money on comic books.

Has Rob gotten any better at drawing feet? Or are they still all fucked up looking?

Power Pack! I loved that comic in the 80's (until they wussed out and reassinged the powers to the kids so that the baby didn't have the eletric power--what dumb asses to redo it like that).

They were one of the four subscriptions I'd save up every year for: Power Pack, X-Men, Alpha Flight and the New Mutants...all of which suck now.
