Sean Connery is writing an autobiography!

I can only hope it's as entertaining as his SNL appearances. He clearly learned all about the Penis Mightier there.

The LA Times has a report on a guy who got so sick of the Internet's spam/spyware/etc that he's just gone offline.

Newsarama has a great interview with Brad Meltzer about Identity Crisis (spoilers aplenty). I've been a fan of Brad's for years, and like him, I grew up reading the Satellite League era of the JLA. His take on the characters resonated very well with me. (And yes, Matt Brady apparently can't spell "Deathstroke.")

The trailer for Cursed -- the werewolf film written by Kevin Williamson and directed by Wes Craven -- is finally up (that link is directly to the QT movie, so don't click if you're at work or on a slow connection). Looks fun. The trend in werewolf movies recently -- even ones that are full immersed in the horror genre (like the recent Kate Beckensale flicks) is to treat lycanthopy purely as a psuedo-scientific disease. I like seeing a movie that pulls it back to the mystical side.

Oh, who am I kidding? I like seeing Christina Ricci.

And next to this clip (also a direct link to a Quicktime file) from the upcoming Fantastic Four movie, well, anything would look good. I mean anything. Including one of those aforementioned Kate Beckinsale flicks.

We had a nice lazy MLK weekend (still ongoing, of course). [livejournal.com profile] shadesong and I watched about nine episodes of Popular, which I'm enjoying more and more. It's a sharp, subversive show, which is probably why it was yanked after two seasons (if it had been on Fox, it would have been pulled after one, of course).

Other than that, we just hung around, cleaning and filing stuff, playing board games with Elayna (The Series of Unfortunate Events game is still her game of choice), watched my Jets lose, and read. Work will be hellish tomorrow. I could try to weed through some of the email that's come in over the holiday weekend, but I'm not giving up what little relaxation time we get.
