It's Groundhog Day.

It's also the 100th birthday of cult leader L. Ron Hubbard Ayn Rand. Sorry, I always get my Kool-aid makers mixed up.

Personally, the folks who came up with and follow the Groundhog myth are the most sensible of the bunch.

Yeah, six more weeks of winter.

As for the kool-aid mixers, I don't know which one is worse. At least Objectivists don't believe in Thetans running through their bodies.

Oh, is that how you spell disappointment? ;)

Either way, I think we're going to have a great game this Sunday. Enjoy!

i just wish the 'great game' wouldn't cause my commute time to be 20 minutes longer each way, 4 days before the damned game...

Ugh! My sympathies. That really stinks.

What we really need is a deserted island to hold all such sporting events. Kind of like in Enter the Dragon or Mortal Kombat.

Only with less death, we hope. Islands just seem conducive to strange, violent deaths.

*hiss*

It's going to be a great game, I just feel bad you're supporting a team that's going to lose sooooooo badly. It's not too late to switch sides you know.

The only thing that could conceivably stop the

Tell you what... you feel bad for me now, and I'll feel bad for you on Sunday. *grins*

It's too late for me to switch now! Two superbowls in three years, and a fantastic team! I'm hooked.

If you're near a computer this Sunday, feel free to razz me if my team is doing badly. :)

If ye've not read it yet, you really need to read Sewer, Gas, Electric: The Public Works Trilogy by Matt Ruff. Aside from the fact that he's a great author, it's a parody of The Fountainhead.

Of course, I didn't know that when I read it, and I loved the book. I've not read the evil work of Rand :)

*laugh* I figured you would. Just didn't know if you had read him yet or not.

Seriously looking forward to Bad Monkeys, whenever he manages to get it out.

Hearing the place where Phil comes from, Gobbler's Knob, makes me chuckle.
