Most of the networks preempted their regular programming for the funniest sitcom I've seen in ages. This "State of the Union" thing could be a big hit if the Fox execs don't cancel it.

Um, I mean, he was kidding, right? Because if he's serious, I need to go file a frivolous asbestos claim and bring down the economy.

State of the union was tonight?! Great, all my Tivo shows will probably be fucked up. Yawn.

I did turn the TV off a bit after that; I don’t claim to know if he was kidding or not about any of it, it hadn’t really occurred to me as a possibility (like that time he made that joke about the missing WMDs that people were supposed to find so amusing, I suppose... really, I am such a sourpuss.)

Knowing Fox, they'd move the State of the Union" around to crappy timeslots before replacing it with 24 or American Idol: Iraq Edition.

I purposefully put in a DVD, seeing as how all 5 channels I get are showing it. I had no desire to get angry tonight.

Then they can add audio commentary from comedians!

If the universe had any justice, Bush will be re-living that Groundhog Day speech over and over until he gets it right.

WTH?

I didn't have the displeasure of watching it, I was acutally at a sex toy shop trying to boost the economy. You know, the patriotic thing to do. ;)

Did he refer to the asbestos claims as frivolous? He really needs to get out and listen to the people that are dying from asbestos. Listening to a man breathe or try to with that stuff is a difficult experience.
