In response to my last post, there's been some mention of the current non-state of Saturday Morning cartoons nowadays. I can't recommend Saturday Morning Fever: Growing Up With Cartoon Culture highly enough. Although in need of a second edition (it was published in 1999), this book is essentially a love letter to/defense of the Saturday Morning line-ups of our youth, and is just plain funny.
