A co-worker just informed me that the student center is a mob scene because the band Hanson is giving a free concert.

It's just like Tiffany's mall tour, all over again!

Quickly, Throw a pie or something at the band.

I'll pay for your bail.

Not really. Maybe eight years ago, but not so much now.

Like, I thought Hanson was so over...in the 1990's even.

I don't suppose it's actually a lynching?

I mean... hope springs eternal.

Emory gets the crappiest music acts ever. Remember when they had Collective Soul and six people showed up to watch? And then Ludacris who arrived two hours late because he "got lost" in his hometown of Atlanta, performed for twenty minutes and then proceeded to curse the audience out?

My sister would be in heaven though. She loved Hanson.

I fucking like Hanson, biatch...
I have this feeling you haven't ONCE heard either their album This Time Around OR their newest Underneath to know that they really evolved as a band and are as goodas a power pop group as basically anything. Unless of course you hate folky power-pop... then, um? Let us never discuss music ever again, we'll stick to other nerdy stuff.

That came out sounding meaner and bitchier than it should.

I'm just saying I have a feeling you probably never gave Hanson a chance past their first album.

I'm surprised by them having so many fans still. They really at this point with the type of music they record (very Jellyfish, Big Star, Superdrag, Stereophonics (they're BIGGEST influences actually) lately shouldn't, but maybe that's why it is a college gig... college listeners are indie listeners.
