Why being a klutz sucks

Yesterday afternoon, while merely attempting to walk from one room to another, I managed to smash my foot into a door, resulting in what appears to be a broken toe. Fortunately, it's the little toe on my left foot (insert Daniel Day-Lewis reference here), so it's not a problem for driving, and not a major problem for walking. But it's still disturbing to see my toe all purple and swollen.

(And yes, I iced it down yesterday, and buddy-taped it to the neighboring toe today).

Thanks -- wasn't sure if ice did any good beyond the first few hours, but I have an ice pack on it right now.

lots of ice for the first 72 hours or so - do 20 min on 20 min off.

After that, ice for about 20 min 3x a day is still good (or more if you feel like it, but returns are diminished), just make sure you do 20 on/off, otherwise you can get frostbite)

I've broken both little toes... the swelling goes down and then the toe is permanently twisted. Not that bad a deal though.

I did nearly the same thing earlier this week, resulting in a broken toe. Then on Saturday, I managed to hit the *same* toe again. Sonofableep that hurt. So yes, ice and buddy-taped as well. *comfort*
