Lost on DVD!

Okay, we knew it was coming, but they've finally announced an official release for season 1 of Lost on DVD!

The bad news, of course, is that we have to wait until September.

Which, incidentally, is also the month in which Season 1 of Desperate Housewives will be available.

I'm unhappy with amazon.com, because I have not received an email saying my The Incredibles DVD has shipped.

My understanding was that they ship pre-orders on such a date that they should arrive by the release date.

Which in the case of The Incredibles is tomorrow.

I'm not sure they actually have a policy of pre-shipping items -- rather, it's something that's happened in the past, but isn't guaranteed (excluding certain specific events, like the Harry Potter Books).

That is annoying. I could understand if you were looking at it arrive on, say, Wednesday (if they mailed it on Friday or Saturday, for example), as there's a limit to what they guarentee. But this is penalizing you for buying online. Maybe drop them a line? Their email support, unlike their phone support, is often manned by people who speak English, and might actually grok the problem.

But back at the subject at hand, I too am excited about the Lost DVD release. It probably means I'll be watching it at the same time as Season 2 over-the-air.

Indeed -- and given how tangled the web is, I'm looking forward to seeing how the seasons play off each other.
