Kristine leaving doesn't bother me much. She was clearly dedicated, but didn't bring a lot of on-screen spark to the show.

Scottie, I'm going to miss. A lot. She was always a blast to watch, had some nifty ideas, and played off the others nicely.

But. . . .

Bringing in Grant Imahara as a host?

A guy who's been working for ILM for years? Who wrote the book Kickin' Bot : An Illustrated Guide to Building Combat Robots? Who has worked on some of the coolest visual movies of the last few years?

I haven't watched MB in long enough that I wonder, "Who are these women?"

It's my favorite show on Discovery. I knew I'd like it as soon as I heard about the concept, and the show is just a blast.

They added four new people for season 2, which made the show work better, much to my surprise. It improved the chemistry, and put Adam and Jamie in the position of being almost the mentors of the team.

So you say. I stopped watching MB season two because I found the Jr team tres annoying and they took away from Jamie & Adam time. I should add a disclaimer that I'm harboring a serious crush on J&A.

I always thought Christine seemed like a sourpuss. I'm glad she's leaving. Frankly, I think they should move Kari and Tory to the background, where they belong, instead of giving them their own assignments.

That was my reaction at first (without the crush aspect). It took me about three episodes to get used to the new dynamic, but once it clicked for me, I had no problem. The fact that I've got a huge crush on Kari doesn't hurt. :-)

Like I said above, I've gotten used to the build team dynamic, so I'm okay with Tory and Kari having big parts. But Christine's leaving doesn't really bother me at all.

I agree with the Christine-apathy. Kari and Tory are okay but I'd prefer WAY more Adam and Jamie screen time.
