Two nifty links off the bat: Dixie points out CourtTV's ongoing multimedia series, Murder in Room 103, an investigation into the murder of American exchange student Jamie Penich in Korea in 2001. The first two parts, including assorted evidence and other stuff (police statements, etc) is just fascinating.
Second,
robyn_ma points out that the entire soundtrack to Meet the Feebles can be found online. You know you need to download it!
Thinking about using Vonage or another VoIP system? Hope you don't have an emergency.
Could our long national nightmare finally be over? Well, sure, until the Schindlers sign their million-dollar book deal and go on the lecture circuit at $5k a pop.
DVD "special" feature of the day: The DVD release of Alone in the Dark will have a commentary by Uwe Boll. This should be good. "And this is the part where I telegraph a cat-scare from a mile away. Oh, and this is the part where Tara acted like a scientist. And this is the part with the crappy-looking monster!"
That, or it's an hour and a half of, "BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Suckers!"
Speaking of things that make me go "BWAHAHAHAHA"*, here's an essay by Raymond Smullyan that I love.
Finally, as you probably gathered from the subject line, we showed
docorion The Specials last night (relevant, given star Thomas Haden Church's presence in another superhero movie, the next Spidey movie). I love that movie more each time I watch it.
* Okay, nothing really makes me go "BWAHAHAHAHA" or any variation thereof. But I needed a segue.

Date: 2005-03-23 02:43 pm (UTC)I thought conservatives were all about the government not interfering in our personal lives?
Also, I love the hypocrisy of some (not all) of these pro-life people. If they were truly "pro-life," why are so many of them in favour of the death penalty? People complain about the Catholic Church, but at least they're consistent: abortion bad, euthanasia bad, capital punishment bad.

Date: 2005-03-23 04:59 pm (UTC)Nope. Turns out they actually thought they were, but now they realize that they're really about big government doing all the things that the conservatives want. I bet they had a whole bunch of embarrassed giggles when they realized that, too.
