The Spirit movie
Apr. 6th, 2005 11:28 amThey're filming a Spirit movie. Not sure how I feel about that, as Eisner developed a visual style for his character that makes Frank Miller's look run of the mill, and which was pretty much lifted for Dick Tracy, anyway. And his ability to tell a story on the page, while inspired by movie techniques, transcended them, and I'm not sure how well anyone can translate it.
But hey, the screenwriter is "comic book legend" Jeph Loeb, who's given us such classic movies as Teen Wolf and Burglar. So what could possibly go wrong?
