Yes, I turn 33 tomorrow. And yes, I'm aware of the fact that I'll turn 33 and a third in August, but since half the world probably doesn't even know why that number has any meaning, I don't think I'll celebrate that.
But tomorrow? Yeah -- my first time being palindromic in eleven years!
Elsewhere: OJ was at Johnny Cochran's funeral. And you know he had to have vowed to "find the real killer."
Ever wonder about all those things that "change the world?"
One comic I forgot to mention in my roundup yesterday: Mark Waid and Barry Kitson's amazing Legion of Super-Heroes, which continues to be the perfect reboot -- appealing to fans of old continuity, while not confusing the hell out of new readers. It's just a well-written book, period. Which is amazing, really, when you consider the fact that Waid was involved in the last reboot, which blew chunks.
Congress is considering extending Daylight Savings Time, having us Spring Ahead in March, and Fall Behind in November.
This may be my new favorite blog.
Finally, it turns out that The Adventures of Pete and Pete is coming out on DVD in less than two months. Why were there no headlines about this? It's still the only TV series to feature Iggy Pop in a major role, as far as I know.

Date: 2005-04-07 02:56 pm (UTC)Aw, man. And here I was so pleased with myself for being one of the only people who knows the schedule (starts on the first Sunday in April; ends on the last Sunday in October). And that would mean DST can never start on April 1, which is always an easy chance for cruel clock-related lies!

Date: 2005-04-07 03:25 pm (UTC)If nothing else, the new boot of Colossal Boy has him as a non-earther, from a planet of giants, and he keeps insisting that he's not Colossal Boy, he's Micro Lad. It's the best LSH running gag in ages.
The overall tone of the series is more serious, though -- the LSH represents, essentially, a political youth movement, and Coz and Brainy are both written more darkly than previously. The dialogue is damned sharp, and the vast number of characters, so far, hasn't gotten in the way.
