Monday morning

This is my first day in the office in two weeks. Weird feeling. Tons of fucking work to do.

Last night, we caught the season (and possible series) finale of Arrested Development, which was just superb.

This morning, I woke up and watched last night's Deadwood. Damn, that's a great show. Yeah, two opposite extremes, but both wonderful to watch.

While I was gone, a few more gifts arrived: From deyaniera, I got a copy of Jayme Lynn Blaschke's Voices of Vision: Creators of Science Fiction and Fantasy Speak, which rocks!

And from docorion (which, appropriately enough, arrived from Amazon while he was here), the DVD of Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead and Murder and Mayhem: A Doctor Answers Medical and Forensic Questions for Mystery Writers (which I may end up applying to some horror stuff I'm working on).

Thanks muchly to both of you!

In other news, yeah, my neck got sunburnt. Which makes me, for a few days, a redneck.

And now, work beckons and kicks my ass.

Where did you read that? All the news stories I've seen said it was on the bubble as late as Sunday night. I don't want to jump for joy prematurely. :-)

Embarrassingly enough, I was watching E! and they said it got renewed this past weekend. They had Jeffrey Tambor and a couple of other cast members talking about how it was such a relief and whatnot.

No shame -- I read the Watch With Kristen column on the E page regularly! But I still can't find any corroborating articles -- wonder if it was a false alarm?

I sure hope not. They seemed pretty sure about it. I can see those cast members creating a false hope in their fans as very amusing entertainment for themselves, though. *crosses fingers*
