Da Fog

Trailer for the new version of The Fog (starring the most hormonal Clark Kent ever and everyone's least favorite Lost castaway) is out. Doesn't look terrible, actually, and of Carpenter's pre-1990 films (also known as the period when he didn't suck), this was always the one that felt most flawed to me, so I'm not offended at the idea of a remake (and without the stunt casting of the original). Of course, I'll watch Selma Blair in just about anything. :-)

Then again, the director is Rupert Wainwright. I'll look at this one with very low expecations.

The Fog was a terrible movie, so I have some hope that the remake will actually make some sense.

I only want to watch Selma eat a couple of big Mcs.

Selma has lost too much weight, but I'm not sure that wasn't for Hellboy (where she was supposed to be waifish). She always looked fine to me before.

I was planning to boycott it because I despise unnecessary remakes, and I'm rather fond of the original.

The original has grown on me (hated it the first time), but not enough for me to consider it sacrosanct. That said, I'd love to see Hollywood collectively spend a year without remaking a film.

If they ever manage to do that, I will have to repent of all my many sins and wait meekly for the end of the world, for surely a year without hollywood remakes is the trump that signals the breaking of the seventh seal.

Fortunately, it's more likely that monkeys will fly out of my butt.

Ahhh, here we go. I only saw the original version recently and I definitely felt as if it wasn't good... but it had potential. Interested to see how the final product turns out. Didn't look too bad, but I DID catch a gratuitous underwear shot in there.
